Access to Independence of Imperial Valley |
Access to Independence is a Center for Independent Living (CIL). CILs are nonresidential, cross-disability, non-profit corporations that provide services to people with disabilities to maximize their independence and fully integrate them into their communities. We are a community hub for individuals to gather, discuss, and advocate for independence and integration into society at a state of the art facility that integrates universal design.

The In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program provides domestic and personal care to Medi-Cal eligible aged, blind and disabled individuals so that they can remain safely in their own homes. In addition to program eligibility, IHSS staff meets with clients in their homes to assess their in-home care need. Providing seniors and people with disabilities nutrition services. Meals-on-Wheels is the only U.S. program that exclusively addresses senior hunger issues. The organization targets individuals with the greatest economic and social needs and currently serves 2.5 million seniors in their homes and in group settings such as senior centers. Two million MOW volunteers create an efficient and caring way to keep seniors independent, healthy and alive.
