If you are one of the many of people in Kentucky who cannot quite afford health insurance for your children, there is Good News! Low-cost health insurance is available for working families who qualify based on their income. If you are eligible, your child can receive low-cost health insurance through the Kentucky Children’s Health Insurance (KCHIP) program. KCHIP is a program of Passport Health Plan. If your child is eligible for KCHIP, this means he or she will also be a member of Passport Health Plan.
